If you thought there wasn’t an inch of space for yet another yoga studio in this city, think again. Asana Studio, a new yoga, barre, and Pilates studio, will open in Charlestown on Sept. 1.

The studio will be housed at 20 City Square, and is owned by yoga instructors Alicia Orr, Alessandra Miele, and Johanna Hynes, all long-time Charlestown residents. The space is still under construction, but the finished product looks like it will be a bright, wood-accented studio.

The initial schedule has already been released, and it features vinyasa and restorative yoga, mat Pilates, cardio-infused barre and Pilates, and mom and baby barre. A number of workshops are already on the docket as well, including plenty of kids, prenatal, and mom and baby yoga classes. Asana is still hiring teachers, but the studio has already recruited well-known instructors like Pilates guru Jennifer Phelan and yoga teachers from studios around the city.

Though it doesn’t officially open for another couple weeks, the studio is holding a pre-opening membership sale until Aug. 21. During the sale, a year of unlimited Pilates and yoga classes will be $1,099 instead of $1,500 ($1,199 to also include barre) and a month of unlimited Pilates and yoga classes will be $99 instead of $160.
