The new South End Whole Foods is pretty spectacular, but there was something strange about getting a pedicure while watching shoppers buy their wine. Perhaps it was due to the large fishbowl-like window putting spa-goers on display. Now, the spa is rebranding as the Spa@Ink by Whole Foods Market. It will offer nail services, facials, chair massages, and more.

Whether or not the layout stays the same is yet to be seen. Spa customers found out in an email Tuesday afternoon that said Whole Foods is taking it’s spa operations in-house.

In a statement, Laura Derba, regional president of Whole Foods Market, said that the new concept will be fully launched by the end of October.

We are pleased to announce that we are taking operation of the spa in-house! Now the quick, convenient and thoroughly relaxing services that you desire will carry all of the best hallmarks of a Whole Foods Market experience; high quality products, and unparalleled customer service.

From now through the end of October, we will be relaunching our spa concept and introducing you to Spa@Ink by Whole Foods Market. Throughout the month of October we will be celebrating Spa@Ink with a series of exciting promotions. Additionally, to thank you for your loyalty, we’d like to offer you 10% off of the service of your choice between September 28th–October 31st.

We are eager for you to try our revamped menu which will feature the full range of experiences from express services for those days when you need a quick touch up to long and luxurious treatments for the times when you’re looking to indulge.

CosMedix, Spa Ritual, John Masters, and Milk + Honey products will all still be available for purchase at Whole Foods.
