SoulCycle has been busy.

The indoor cycling chain, known for its candlelit classes and cult-like following, announced last week that it’s partnering with everybody’s favorite place, Target, for a 10-city tour of free classes—but, alas, Boston is not among them. At least pedal-happy Bostonians can dry their eyes on the tank tops and sweatshirts in Target’s small SoulCycle collection, available online and in select stores now.

An even better silver lining? SoulCycle’s third Boston location, in Beacon Hill, now has an official opening date: February 24. The 300 Cambridge Street studio is under construction now, and will eventually house 55 bikes. The schedule will not be finalized until about a week before the studio opens, according to a company spokeswoman.

SoulCycle’s Boston expansion has been as quick as it was long-awaited. After the first Boston-area studio, in Chestnut Hill, opened to much fanfare in 2014, the company added a Back Bay branch in 2015. The Beacon Hill location was announced just months later. Could more be on the way? Only time will tell.
