Boutique cycling classes are notorious for their hefty price tags. But—for a limited time—you may be able to ride for free at two of Boston’s top studios.

The Handle Bar is showing some love to college and graduate students through Saturday, September 17. Any active student may visit one of its three locations (Fenway, Southie, or Cambridge) this week and ride for free, simply by showing a student ID. Take as many classes as you want, but spots are available only on a walk-in basis.

The Handle Bar, 1336 Boylston St., Boston; 141 Dorchester Ave., Boston; 1030 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, handlebarcycling.com.

Meanwhile, SoulCycle is running a nationwide promotion for first-time riders. Visit any of its studios between Tuesday, September 13 and Monday, September 26, and your class will be free. Locally, you’ve got your pick of studios in Back Bay, Beacon Hill, or Chestnut Hill. Just call the location of your choice beforehand to book your bike.

Not a newbie? If you already have a SoulCycle account, log in to get a personalized “spread the Soul” link. If you can cajole five of your friends into signing up for their first class using it, you’ll get a free session.

SoulCycle, 500 Boylston St., Boston; 300 Cambridge St., Boston; 200 Boylston St., Chestnut Hill, soulcycle.com.
