This Is What the Gronkowski Family Eats for Breakfast

Get Gronk'd at the breakfast table.

We don’t need to tell you that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. In this series, we’re asking some of Boston’s top doctors, fitness pros, and dietitians for a sneak peek into their kitchens, so we can see what’s on their breakfast table.

The Gronkowski Family

Claim to Fame: If you know Patriots tight end, twerking aficionado, and cruise mogul Rob Gronkowski, you probably know his crew—father Gordie and brothers Chris, Glenn, Dan, and Gordie Jr.—too. Perhaps you saw them on Family Feud. Maybe you’ve taken a Gronk Fitness class. Possibly you’ve even taken a spin on the Gronk Bus. In short: These guys are everywhere.

What They Eat: It shouldn’t be surprising that a family that does everything together also favors the same breakfasts. They often whip up scrambled eggs with veggies (above); Greek yogurt with strawberries; or buttermilk flavored-P28 protein pancakes with turkey sausage. If they work out in the morning, they opt for vanilla protein shakes with banana or peanut butter.

Why They Eat Them: Dan Gronkowski keeps it short and sweet when describing the value of a solid breakfast: “A good breakfast can fuel your workout and your entire day,” he says. Amen.
