When certified Spin instructor Kaitlyn Bristowe chose personal trainer Shawn Booth on the 11th season of the Bachelorette, they became quite possibly the fittest couple ever to grace the hit ABC show. And now, the two are taking their love of fitness on tour.

Bristowe and Booth, along with celebrity trainer Erin Oprea, are the faces of an event called CityStrong, which has been touring the country and bringing fitness and fun to cities including Chicago, San Diego, and New York. The trio comes to Boston’s South End on May 13, where it will announce the next tour stop. (You can purchase tickets here.)

“Looking out and seeing people laughing and having a good time, having fun with friends, good music, good company [is the best part],” Oprea says. “Working out doesn’t have to be boring.”

At the event, Booth and Oprea—who trains the likes of Carrie Underwood—will lead the crowd in a series of body weight exercises, including crunches, planks, squats, lunges, and more. Meanwhile, Bristowe will DJ and offer commentary, doing, in the words of her fiancé, “what Kaitlyn does best—entertaining the crowd, getting them pumped up, making them laugh.”

Booth, who is from Connecticut, says he’s excited to bring the event to Boston, a city full of passionate people.

“They’re all about passion for their city, their sports teams,” Booth says. “Boston people are the best.”

In addition to providing a killer workout, CityStrong also donates a portion of its proceeds to CreatiVets, an organization that uses songwriting to help veterans cope with PTSD. And after working up a sweat, attendees can check out the SoWa Open Market’s food trucks, live music, and farmers’ market.

$40, 5/13, 11 a.m. SoWa Power Station, 540 Harrison Ave., Boston. Register for tickets at citystrong.com.
