At 4 a.m. on Friday, Boston gained a giant addition to its fitness scene.

Luxury gym Life Time Athletic has officially opened its doors in Chestnut Hill, on the site of the old Atrium Mall. The behemoth gym—spanning roughly 120,000 square feet—boasts eight group fitness studios, ample cardio and weight machines, areas for small group and personal training, a spa, a salon, a kids’ club, a medical office, a café, and even a bar.

The goal, general manager Rob Kram says only half jokingly, is that members never have to leave.
