Boston Children’s Hospital Is Collecting Digital Valentines
The hospital is hoping to gather 15,000 e-cards for its patients.
You can put a smile on somebody’s face this Valentine’s Day, no pricey chocolates or elaborate bouquets required.
Boston Children’s Hospital is brightening the days of its young patients by asking community members to send in digital Valentine’s Day cards. Anybody can fill out a virtual card here, choosing among several Boston-centric designs and adding a customized message for a Boston Children’s patient. (Due to the expected number of submissions, the hospital will not be able to deliver messages to specific kids.)
More than 6,200 people have already submitted e-cards, and the hospital is aiming for 15,000 in total. The cards will be displayed throughout the hospital’s campus on Tuesday.
Want to do more to help the Boston Children’s community? The hospital is also seeking blood donors, as last week’s blizzard left its bank “in urgent need” of blood and platelets.
That’s two easy ways to spread the love—take your pick.
