The Greater Boston Food Bank partners with more than 600 hunger relief agencies in the nine counties of eastern Massachusetts to provide food for approximately 83,000 people each week. We distribute nearly 30 million pounds of food annually in a dedicated partnership to feed our region’s hungry. As impressive as those numbers are, the economic uncertainty and the rising food and fuel prices are causing an unfortunate increase in people seeking food assistance.
