Endlessly popular for good reason – Jody Adams’s Rialto restaurant at the Charles Hotel serves up some of the choicest Italian food in the city. And, unsurprisingly, her selected Restaurant Week menu does not disappoint: Quercia cured ham, local cheeses and vinegars, lasagna with farro pasta, ricotta and basil, and a desserts list that includes a chilled coconut plate with roasted pineapple and lime-rum syrup… one meal may not suffice.

Lettuce and herb salad with local vinegar and cheese
Mozzarella with artichokes, tomatoes and anchovies
Quercia ham plate with salsa verde and Tarentaise
Springbrook cheese
Early spring minestrone

Second Course
Floppy tomato lasagna
Arctic char with lentils and apple-fennel salad
Smoked roast chicken with chorizo
Roast leg of lamb with grains of paradise

Dessert
Chocolate espresso torta with strawberries and cream
Tangelo sorbet with chocolate sauce
