Ballotin Chocolates of Newburyport invites guests to two exclusive Amedei tasting events hosted by Amedei’s Chana Krausz-Papp and Ballotin’s Lisa Bleicken. A full range of Amedei bars of varying cocoa origin and content will be featured, including the acclaimed 9 bar and the Chuao bar, made from beans once reserved for Spanish royalty. In addition to discussing how to taste chocolate, the evening will focus on how chocolate is made, the history of chocolate and of Amedei, what makes Amedei products unique, why the Chuao beans are so prized, and the issue of fair trade and organic certification.
