Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer
This event has now passed. Check out other events in our calendar.
This week, instead of going to your hips, that piece of chocolate cake will go toward a good cause. Local participating restaurants, bakeries, and cafes, such as, Chocolee, Finale, Flour, South End Buttery, and more will bake tasty desserts the week leading up to Mother's Day to benefit breast cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. To help, all you have to do is dig in (desserts cost around $8). Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer 2008 is dedicated to Dianna Ryan and Lucille Messenger (mother and grandmother of Finale's executive pastry chef, Nicole Coady), who have both successfully been treated for Breast Cancer.
