The team at Boston Medical Center's Orthopaedic Surgery Center is led by Dr. Thomas A. Einhorn, a professor and Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. His specialty is hip and knee replacement surgery and he is one of the leading researchers in bone physiology. Dr. Einhorn has chaired the Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Study Section of the National Institute of Health, and has been President of the Orthopaedic Research Society.

Dr. Paul Tornetta III is professor and Residency Program Director. He is the Director of Orthopaedic Trauma, a past president of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association and one of the leading surgeon researchers in the area of difficult fractures and fracture complications. He has recently won the OREF clinical research award and manages referrals for complex fractures from all over New England.

Drs. Einhorn and Tornetta have been recognized by Boston magazine as Top Doctors in 2009, 2010, and 2011. Nine other distinguished physicians complete the group. Dr. Tony Tannoury and Dr. Chadi Tannoury specialize in spine surgery with Dr. Tony Tannoury leading in the art of minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Robert Nicoletta, Director of the Sports Medicine Fellowship and Dr. Cory Edgar specialize in knee, shoulder and sports medicine injuries; Dr. Andrew Stein and Dr. Andrew Jawa specialize in hand and upper extremity conditions; with Dr. Jawa leading in the art of shoulder replacement surgery; Dr. Brian Silva specializes in hip and knee replacements; Dr. William Creevy specializes in trauma and sports medicine, and Dr. T. Desmond Brown specializes in orthopaedic problems in children.
