Chimpanzee Victim Reveals New Face

Yesterday, Charla Nash, the woman who lost her face and hands after being attacked by a chimpanzee, revealed her new face on the Today show, and sat for an interview with Meredith Vieira. Nash was the third patient to receive a full face transplant from Brigham and Women’s hospital in Boston this year, and is now able to eat through her mouth and has regained her sense of smell. She remains blind, but she says that she’s had people tell her that she’s beautiful. “No one ever told me I was beautiful before,” she said.
