Billboard Pop 100 band Augustana comes to the Paradise for a night of acoustic music. It’s likely that you’ve heard of this band, their hit single being entitled, “Boston.” Tickets for this show are available beforehand on the Paradise Rock Club website and are also available at the door the night of the show.

5th Annual New England Book Festival

Everyone loves a good book on a Saturday afternoon, so what could be better than a whole Saturday full of books? The New England Book Festival will hold a public daytime book fair and publishing seminar this Saturday at the Omni Parker House Hotel. The seminar will focus on the changes going on in the world of independent and mainstream book publishing. Many authors and publishers will exhibit their work throughout the day, and plenty of special readings will also take place.

Whether you’re buying a car, a car buff, or someone who just wants to get out of the house this weekend, the 2013 New England International Auto Show is the perfect destination. Being the biggest auto show in New England, there will be plenty of cars to fit everyone’s style. The event will showcase all different types of cars for the newest model year, both imported and domestic. Every paid admission into the show will also receive a one year’s subscription to Details magazine.

New Stars for Young Stars

If you’re the type of person who loves the Red Sox (and let’s be straight, most Bostonians do), and you’re the type of person who loves to show your support for a cause, then this event is for you. On Saturday, the Jimmy Fund will host “New Stars for Young Stars,” with some of the new players from the Boston Red Sox and many up-and-coming minor league players. The event will consist of an autograph signing and meet-and-greet with the players. There will also be a buffet lunch, a sports memorabilia sale, a silent auction, and a bowling contest to help “strike out” cancer.
