Major Tenant Signs Lease at Filene’s Site in Downtown Crossing. The ad agency Arnold Worldwide will occupy 125,000 square feet in the restored store. The news rejuvenates efforts to make Downtown Crossing not such a pit (literally). “Downtown Crossing is buzzing with new energy, and Arnold Worldwide’s commitment to bring its Worldwide Headquarters to the Burnham Building speaks volumes about the future of the neighborhood,” Mayor Tom Menino said in a statement. “Today’s announcement marks another significant step forward in our ongoing efforts to rebuild this part of downtown.  I’d like to thank Millennium Partners for their continued partnership in that work.”

It’s a story that’s so common to the children, grandchildren, and maybe even the great-grandchildren of World War II veterans, who stumble across mementos of war in the possession of veterans, who won’t talk about them.
