Updated 1:33 p.m.: Breaking news! Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez drove from his home to Gillette Stadium! Then he got gas! Then he drove to his lawyers’ offices in the Prudential Center! We know all this crucial information because a Fox helicopter followed him the whole way, reporting his exact location breathlessly all the while and interviewing the reporter who confronted him at the gas station about the non-interview.

Hernandez’s dull movements have actually taken on some significance, because Boston.com’s Steve Silva reported on Twitter that police plan to arrest Hernandez in connection with a murder investigation. His reporting was widely picked up by news media, though no one has yet confirmed it:

A jogger found the body of Orin Lloyd in an industrial park near Hernandez’s North Attleboro home Monday night. Lloyd, 27, of Dorchester, played for the semi-pro football team the Boston Bandits. He was reportedly dating the sister of Hernandez’s girlfriend. In the days after his body was found, police searched Hernandez’s home and questioned him, as the media began digging into his past and camping outside his house. We’re now at the point where helicopters are trailing his white SUV down the road today all the way to … Gillette Stadium, a fairly unremarkable place for him to be. “We have officially reached OJ Simpson territory,” tweet Toucher and Rich. (The white SUV is, admittedly, not great imagery for Hernandez at this moment.)

Reports also surfaced about a lawsuit filed by a man who claims Hernandez once shot him in the face after the two got in an argument at a Florida strip club.

All in all, not a great week for Hernandez, who has distinguished himself as a key asset for the Patriots in his three seasons here, with 175 receptions, 1,956 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns. He was the youngest player in the NFL at age 20 in his first season. He’s now just 23 years old.
