Shane Victorino Captures Red Sox World Series Celebrations On a GoPro Camera
If you’ve ever wondered what it was like to be in the dugout when the Red Sox closed out the World Series at Fenway Park in October, or how it felt to stand among the championship team as they hoisted the trophy above their heads, and sprayed each other with champagne—this is as close as you are going to get.
In a video posted to YouTube over the weekend, sponsored by the Shane Victorino Foundation, fans get an up close and personal account of all the Red Sox action post-win, including a trip on a Duck Boat with a first person point-of-view of the millions of fans screaming and cheering for the team.
The video, edited by Chris Tran, was shot on a GoPro camera as part of a promotional match-up between Victorino and the electronics company.
The footage includes the emotional point in the parade when the Red Sox rolled towards the Boston Marathon finish line on Boylston Street, and the crowds of people pushing up against the metal barriers began belting out “God Bless America,” to honor those hurt and killed in the bombings on April 15.
As the video comes to an end, viewers get to take a dip in the Charles River aboard one of the Duck Boats, a crowning moment following the Red Sox World Series victory.
