Looks like the Jenny Dell era at NESN has come to a close. The station and the NESN Sports Today anchor announced her departure from the network after two years.

“NESN and Jenny Dell have mutually agreed that this is the right time for her explore other opportunities full time. Today is her last day at the network. A search is underway for her replacement on NESN Sports Today,” NESN spokesman Gary Roy said in a statement.

Dell first appeared on NESN as a sideline reporter for the Red Sox back in 2012, replacing Heidi Watney. At the end of the 2013 season, rumors circled that Dell was dating Red Sox third baseman Will Middlebrooks. This was confirmed two weeks later when Dell shared photos via Twitter while the two spent New Years Eve together. Discovering a clear conflict of interest that had loads of people crying foul (including Boston), NESN then removed Dell from the sidelines and into their studio at Sports Today.

So far this season, NESN has used a number of different sideline reporters for the Sox including Gary Striewski, Elle Duncan, and Sarah Davis.

So what’s next for Jenny Dell? It’s not clear if Dell has a job lined up just yet, although rumors say that Fox Sports 1 has approached her, as well as Bleacher Report. The Globe speculates that NESN pulled Dell from her Sox duties in part because she was mulling other offers while still under contract with the network.

Dell’s last day with NESN is today. Farewell, Jenny Dell! All the college-aged fellas are gonna miss you.
