Dropkick Murphys Played an Impromptu Set at Logan Airport

They were shipping up to Dublin (to find my wooden leg).

Quincy-based Celtic punk group and wooden leg pioneers, Dropkick Murphys, held a surprise set at Logan Airport Monday night just before St. Paddy’s Day.

The band just wrapped up their five-show gig at the House of Blues in Boston that stretched through the weekend. Before taking off for Dublin, where they’ll play two St. Patrick’s Day gigs at their first stop overseas on the Celtic Punk Invasion tour, they made their own stage and gathered a crowd at at gate E4 (a la their Instagram).

While the Dropkick Murphys are making their rounds in the UK for the next week or so, they’ll be back in Boston to take Fenway Park with the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and the Foo Fighters in July.
