A popular Boston bar across from Fenway Park has been cited in the aftermath of a shooting that left two women injured.

Who’s On First?, a Fenway fixture for decades that has been the subject of numerous violations going back to the mid-1980s, was cited by Boston Police for a licensed premise violation not long after the Sunday shooting.

The exact details of the violation are not known as this time but could range from overserving to selling alcohol to minors to being the site of a violent incident to not properly posting the cost of the cover charge at the door. A call to the bar for comment unsuccessful. The bar owners or management will likely have to go before the Boston Licensing Board later this month as a result of the violation.

One women was shot in the leg while the other was shot in the abdomen, both are expected to recover from their injuries. The suspects in the shooting remain at large though an investigation is ongoing.

Bullets from the shooting also hit the Fenway Park ticket office and Boston Beer Works. The incident is believed to be gang related.

Who’s On First? is one of the few establishments connected to Yawkey Way that the Boston Red Sox do not own or have total control over. The bar limits access to Yawkey Way to ticket holders during game days when the street is closed and turned into an extension of Fenway Park. The bar is accessible from Yawkey Way as well as a small alley between a Yakey Way and Brookline Ave. When the bar is not busy as a sports bar it functions as a night club with various theme nights.

A brief review of recent violations did not show Who’s On First? as a violator this year prior to Sunday’s shooting.
