The Church of Scientology is moving its New England headquarters to Allston.

The Church purchased an office building at 212-214 Lincoln Street, as well as several other properties near the Massachusetts Turnpike. A spokesperson told the Globe there’s no set move-in date, and some work would have to be done on the interior. In the meantime, the Scientologists are leasing office space in Quincy.

The news, first reported by the Globe, comes after the Church put the historic Hotel Alexandra on the market last month. The Church originally planned to make the Alexandra its headquarters after purchasing the iconic South End property in 2008, pending a renovation that never quite panned out. The New England chapter loaned money from the International Church of Scientology to buy the Allston properties, which it reportedly plans to repay with the sale of the Alexandra.

The Church was previously headquartered on the corner of Beacon and Hereford Streets in the Back Bay.
