Police are looking for a man who they say tried robbing a Chipotle in Quincy, armed with a hypodermic needle.

Quincy police responded to the Chipotle at 68 Newport Ave. at 5:39 p.m. Tuesday, upon receiving a report of an armed robbery. The cashier told officers that the man grabbed the bag containing his food and said, “Put all the money in the bag.”

When the cashier said she didn’t understand his request, the man revealed a hypodermic needle and threatened to stab her. Her manager approached the suspect, who fled southbound down Newport Avenue, police said.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-10, 165-pound white male in his late 20s, with a beard and a black, hooded jacket with grey sleeves.

Quincy police said video of the robbery would soon be posted to its Facebook page. Anyone with information helpful to the investigation is encouraged to call (617) 745-5766.
