Two Women Injured in Shooting After Leaving This Notorious Chuck E. Cheese

This Everett pizza parlor has a troubled past.

Two women were injured in a shooting in Chelsea after their minivan was followed from the Chuck E. Cheese in Everett, police say.

Shots were fired at the vehicle on Fourth Street, and the suspect got away in a silver Honda, police say. The women drove to a firehouse in Orient Heights for help before they were taken to the hospital, where one was treated for facial injuries from the shattered glass, police say.

This is the latest incidence of violence in connection to the Chuck E. Cheese in Everett’s Gateway Mall and Shopping Center, quite possibly the rowdiest in Massachusetts. A mother and daughter were hospitalized following a Presidents Day brawl at the popular children’s pizza parlor and arcade. And just five months earlier, five adults were arrested after police working detail at the shopping center responded to a report of adults consuming alcoholic beverages there. When officers arrived, one male suspect became belligerent before he was taken into custody, police said, sparking a melee.

Chuck E. Cheese also has locations in Natick, Burlington, and Danvers.
