Getting engaged is a pretty big deal, for a lot of reasons. But with social media, it’s also become an occasion that people can capture, and share, as it happens. Engagement selfies (or professionally shot photos) are just a normal part of the process now.

The folks at Brilliant Earth, a “beyond conflict free” diamond jewelry group, put together a list of the most Instagrammed engagement selfie locations. In Boston, Suffolk University and the surrounding streets topped the list, followed by the notoriously photogenic streets of Beacon Hill. Brick walls, ivy, and cobblestone streets certainly sound like an ideal spot to snap a picture of a sparkly new ring.

Boston’s green spaces also made an appearance, with Boston Common, Christopher Columbus Park, and the Public Garden (specifically near Arlington Street) rounding out the top five. Boston Common and the Public Garden are Boston staples, and the views out over the harbor from Christopher Columbus park make for a perfectly Boston shot of you and your boo. We’re just surprised Fenway Park didn’t make the list, too.

Brilliant Earth also checked out when people were posting these selfies. Surprisingly, people are more likely to share an engagement Instagram on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday and not on a weekend—wouldn’t want your friends on the ‘Gram to miss out on your big moment because they’re busy.
