Barack To Boston

1193146999The World Series isn’t the only circus in town this week. Governor Deval Patrick will appear tonight with his new BFF Barack Obama at a free rally on Boston Common. The only question we have is if we’ll be treated to a concert like when Hillary Clinton was here.

The rally comes only days after Patrick endorsed Obama, so it should be a touching display. The campaign recommends that supporters register in advance on its website for a rapid entry pass, and don’t even attempt to bring a bag to the event or you’ll be turned away, just like at the New Garden.

We’re suckers for a good political circus, so Boston Daily will be there. Will Obama’s super-cool wife Michelle Obama be present? Will the candidate’s supporters outnumber Ron Paul’s? We’ll let you know tomorrow.

will we be invited to “free parades” soon as well?

    Dear Bex,
I think you may have been confused. Tickets were required to get into the “inner circle” at the rally. However, unlike most events that require tickets, these tickets were free. As you may be aware, Barak Obama is the first minority candidate with a serious shot at winning the presidency. So much so that US secret service has given him protection soon after he announced his canidacy. This “inner circle” was not meant to exclude the people- in fact many of Ron Pauls supporters were present and shouted during most of the event- but was more a measure of security for someone who many people in America hope will be the next President of the United States and who may be a target of people who would like to keep the status quo.
