Update: Boston’s City Council Candidates
It's time to read up on the winners of the City Council preliminary election who will be on the ballot November 5.
All eyes are on Boston’s mayoral race, but voters will also elect 13 city councilors—four citywide, and one in each of nine districts. To help introduce you to the candidates, I set out to interview all of them in a series of Candidate Chats, which have appeared on this site over the past couple of months.
The field of city council candidates has now been winnowed to a mere 25 of the original 48 now moving on to the final ballot. Those eight at-large candidates and two in each district (except where Frank Baker is unopposed) will face off on November 5 for the 13 city council positions. The Candidate Chats I had with almost all of them are linked to below—I hope they help you decide who to vote for. (To find out what district you live in, and where to vote, see the city’s search page here.)
