Update 1:40 p.m.:
After some research on social media, we got wind that the noble shoveler is Chris Laudani, a bartender at Back Bay Social Club. They tweeted the news at local media handles:

Laudani told Boston, “I only did it to send a message…I love the Boston Marathon and everything it stands for, the finish line doesn’t deserve to be covered in snow.”
He then added, “I think it’s cool that so many people feel the same way, but I saw the word ‘hero’ being tossed around and that I don’t like. I’m no hero, I’m just a nut who loves the marathon. The real heroes are the people who were out there clearing the streets and sidewalks, the [Boston Police Department], and the [Boston Fire Department] who risk their lives every day to keep people safe.”
Rumors of a possible second shoveler abound. Stay tuned for updates.

While the rest of us are huddled in the comfort of our own homes/couches/beds/refrigerators during the great blizzard, an extremely noble person was spotted shoveling snow off the Boston Marathon’s finish line earlier in the wake of the storm.
Twitter user Philip Hillman (@PhillyIdol1017) took the photo from the Charlesmark Hotel on Boylston, and, determined to find out who this mystery person is, is trying to crowdsource his or her identity on social media. Hillman and his friend Grabrielle Daniels are using the hashtag #WhoShoveledTheFinishLine on Twitter.
The natural inquiry was to geared toward the Charlesmark, but a representative at the hotel told Mashable that the person is not an employee, and they do not know who it might be. Right now, the hunt is still going on. Reveal thyself, kind stranger, and be rewarded with internet fame and glory!
