Pan-Massachusetts Challenge

The Pan-Massachusetts Challenge (PMC) presented a record-setting $23 million to the Jimmy Fund at its 26th annual check presentation ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 5. The sum is more than twice the amount contributed to charity by an athletic fundraising event anywhere in the United States and $3 million more than the PMC raised last year. It is also the largest gift ever to be received by Dana-Farber. Nearly 4,000 cyclists and 2,222 volunteers participated in the 2005 PMC, which was held in August and was sponsored the Boston Red Sox and Overstock.com.
