On 5/3, The Second Step Inc., a non-profit organization that provides long-term transitional services to survivors of domestic abuse, hosted its Celebrating Success gala at the Boston Marriott Newton, raising more than $300,000, and featuring Massachusetts First Lady Diane Patrick as the keynote speaker and comedian Loretta LaRoche as the emcee.
