Ruth M. Batson Social Justice Award Presentation

On 04/15, John M. Auerbach, Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, received the Ruth M. Batson Social Justice Award from Dean Joan Reede of the Office for Diversity & Community Partnership, the creator of Harvard Medical School's Reflection in Action: Building Healthy Communities (RIA) program. Cambridge Health Alliance, a Harvard Medical School teaching affiliate, helped to create the award, which honors dedication to civic engagement. At the event, winners in each category performed for hundreds of students as well as teachers, parents, community members, and Harvard officials. All photographs by Jeff Thiebauth.
