The 2008 Literary Lights Dinner was presented by the Associates of the Boston Public Library on 04/20, to recognize authors, playwrights, poets and other contributors to literature. The keynote speaker was the Reverend Professor Peter J. Gomes. Honorees included Geraldine Brooks; Stephen L. Carter; Frances FitzGerald; Richard Ford; Tony Horwitz; P. J. O’Rourke, and more. David Halberstam was also remembered posthumously with an award.
