J-Serve 2010

On 4/25 over 100 volunteers pitched in at the Ford School in Lynn, North Shore Teen Initiative's project for J-Serve 2010, an international day of service. Teens helped build a greenhouse, create the foundation for a small koi pond adjacent to their garden, build players' benches for their "parking lot baseball diamond," plant trees, beautify and build around a picnic area, create a mural along the ramp of the entranceway, and paint fruit hopscotch and 4-Square games on the blacktop. The City of Lynn's mayor, Mayor Judith Flanagan Kennedy joined J-Serve as did thousands of teens in service projects throughout the nation.
