The Friends of the Public Garden's 40th Anniversary Gala

On 11/5 The Friends of the Public Garden hosted its 40th Anniversary Gala for 225 guests at the Taj Boston. The Gala was the culmination of a year celebrating four decades of stewardship of Boston's first public parks – the Boston Common, the Public Garden, and Commonwealth Avenue Mall. Friends Co-Vice President Bill Clendaniel announced that the Henry Lee Conservation Fund has raised to date over $380,000. The Fund was set up this year to honor Henry's 40 years of stewardship, and is dedicated to care for the parks' sculpture, fountains and other selected structural elements.
