Joslin High Hopes Gala

On 11/20, Boston's Joslin Diabetes Center, the world's preeminent diabetes research and clinical care organization, held its star studded, black-tie High Hopes Gala at the Westin Copley Place to benefit Joslin's High Hopes Fund. The High Hopes Fund generates critical support for Joslin's clinical, research and educational programs. The event was attended by almost 600 supporters and raised $1.5 million. Guests enjoyed performances by legendary blues guitarist Buddy Guy and The Goonies featuring Shannon Allen, wife of Celtics' Ray Allen. At the gala, guests enjoyed an up-close view of the rare 45th Anniversary Edition Iacocca Mustang, one of only 45 in the world, that was raffled-off at the event. The Gala was emceed by "Men of a Certain Age" actor Brian White, son of Celtics' legend Jo Jo White and Billy Costa emceed the live auction.
