Whittier Street Health Center held its 2011 fundraiser on April 5 at Boston's Park Plaza Hotel. It was an evening of fun, honor and mischief, dominated by the roasting of Dr. Edward Benz, the President and CEO of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. The event was led by NECN's Latoyia Edwards, and roasters included Dr. Benz's own son, Tim Benz, a popular Pittsburg radio personality. The event raised over half a million dollars, which will go to support Whittier Street's more than 30 health programs dedicated to the medically underserved.
