Read Romp + Rock

The annual Read Romp + Rock took place on April 8 at the WGBH Studios in Brighton. It was a fantastic evening of music, food and drink, plus a signature “Celebrity Reader” raffle, which allowed guests to win experiences with local celebrities, including Top Chef Contestant Tiffani Faison and WCVB-TV Meteorologist J.C. Monahan. An auction – hosted by R&B Singer Kevon Edmonds – included experiences with Paul Pierce and David Ortiz as prizes. The fifth annual “non-gala” gala benefited Reach Out and Read, the nonprofit literacy organization that prepares America’s youngest children to succeed in school by partnering with doctors to prescribe books and encourage families to read together.
