Medicine that Matters

At its April Medicine that Matters gala at the Seaport Hotel, the Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program honored two outstanding individuals for their efforts to raise awareness and provide care for Boston's most vulnerable members. Dr. Ernesto González, a clinician and educator at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) was recognized for his extraordinary generosity in time and compassion in treating patients both in the clinic and on the streets. Suzy Welch, a bestselling author who also co-chaired the BHCHP's first-ever capital campaign — which led to the construction of the Jean Yawkey Place — was also cited for her dedication to making the center a reality.
