Literary Lights for Children

The 13th annual "Literary Lights for Children" awards ceremony and tea party was presented by The Associates of the Boston Public Library (BPL) on Sunday, September 25th at the BPL. M.T. Anderson, Kate DiCamillo, Gareth Hinds, and Pam Muñoz Ryan were honored with awards for their extraordinary contributions to children’s literature. The authors chosen as this year’s “Literary Lights” have collectively won dozens of major awards for their inspiring books written for children and young adults. Over 350 guests gathered in the BPL’s historic Bates Reading Room for the ceremony and then in the Abbey Room for authors’ book signings.
