On Saturday, October 15, $1.56 million was raised to benefit the Berklee Music Program, which provides music education to underserved fourth- through twelfth-graders, at the Berklee Encore Gala held at the Westin Copley Place. Hosted by CSI actor Paul Guilfoyle of Canton, MA, the event drew in 900 guests and featured several performers, including Emmy Award-winning and Grammy Award-nominated Christopher Guest, who performed with renown violinist Mark O'Connor and Berklee president Roger H. Brown.
