Heroes in Health Care Gala

The "Heroes in Health Care Gala", celebrating the 125th anniversary of the Visiting Nurse Association of Boston (VNA), was held for 275 guests in the Grand Ballroom at Taj Boston on Saturday, October 15th. The evening culminated a year-long celebration of the VNA's 125 years of providing critical home care services to the Greater Boston community. Honored with "Heroes in Health Care" awards at the dinner were: Senator John F. Kerry; Ellen M. Zane, former President and CEO, Tufts Medical Center and James W. Hunt, President & CEO, Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers. Senator Kerry was unable to attend and his daughter, MGH physician Vanessa Kerry, accepted the award on his behalf.
