Recently, the Women’s Lunch Place held its 26th annual Spaghetti Dinner at the Fairmont Copley Plaza hotel. A night to celebrate community and volunteerism, the event raised $300,000 to support the Women’s Lunch Place, which serves some 200 women and children daily. A private wine reception at The Palm Boston, a Nutcracker Experience with the Boston Ballet, a trip to Bermuda from the Fairmont Copley Plaza, as well as Red Sox and Patriots packages were some of the hotly bidded auction items. Located in Boston’s Back Bay and drawing volunteers from across Greater Boston and beyond, The Women’s Lunch Place is a caring community that provides a nutritious breakfast and lunch, as well as social, educational, wellness and advocacy services. For over 25 years the Women's Lunch Place has been one of the few places where Boston's women in need can find safety, comfort and sustenance during the day.
