Pan-Massachusetts Challenge Donates $35 million to Jimmy Fund

On Friday, November 11, Pan-Massachusetts Challenge Founder and Executive Director Billy Starr presented a check for $35 million to Dana-Farber Cancer-Institute President Edward J. Benz, Jr., the State Street Pavilion at Fenway Park. One-hundred percent of every dollar raised by the PMC cyclists, more than 500 of which were in attendance, goes directly to Dana-Farber. Red Sox President and CEO Larry Lucchino along with New Balance CEO Rob DeMartini were also there as supporters. The sum was the largest ever raised by an athletic fundraising event in the nation.
