Take it to the Max Holiday Party

On December 10th, 250 young professionals filled the Boston Ballet's Grand Studio, transformed into a winter wonderland, for a sold out 8th annual Take it to the Max.  The annual party benefits The Max Warburg Courage Curriculum's work in sixth and ninth grade classrooms in Boston and beyond and helps to cultivate the next generation of leaders for the organization.  DJ Rich DiMare (of Kiss 108, on air weekday mornings) kept the dance floor packed while Dave Willis, co-founder of Bully Boy, was on hand to serve specialty drinks featuring Bully Boy Vodka ("Dark and Snowy,"  "Holly Jolly Hooch," "The Drunk Santa," and "The Tipsy Elf.")  The festivities continued late into the night, with an after-party held at Post 390 in the Back Bay.   Many of those in attendance were classmates of the late Max Warburg, a courageous sixth grader whose steadfast hope in the face of his battle with leukemia continues to inspire The Max Warburg Courage Curriculum's work in the areas of literacy and character development.  Since the organization's founding in 1991, the Courage Curriculum has worked with well over 100,000 students, empowering them to discover and recognize, the role of courage in the lives of the characters they read about, in the lives of those around them, and in their own lives.
