Historic New England Benefit Dinner

Historic New England hosted a benefit dinner Good Things Are Worth Preserving on Friday, February 24, with event chair Nina Longtine and special guest of honor Arie L. Kopelman. All the event proceeds went towards preserving historic sites throughout New England.

The event was held at Roughwood, an 1891 Richardsonian-style shingle and stone house. On display were large banners depicting select items from the Historic New England collections, including a 1761 portrait of Sally Sayward Barrell, the amber glass window at Beauport, the Sleeper-McCann House in Gloucester, Mass., and a circa 1850 Anglo-Indian armchair from Mumbai, India.
