POST 390's Farm To Post Party

Post 390 brought together farmers and friends to celebrate the new menu of Farm to Post at Post 390 and to benefit Lovin’ Spoonfuls, Lovin' Spoonfuls is a Boston-centered food rescue, whose mission is to "facilitate the recovery and distribution of perishable and unserved foods that would otherwise be thrown away and wasted. [They] deliver this food directly to local crisis centers, soup kitchens and other social assistance entities." Ken Himmel, Janet Himmel, and Chris Himmel, owners of Post 390, and Executive Chef Eric Brennan welcomed  farmers and owners from Lovin’ Spoonfuls, Kimball Fruit Farm, Brambly Farms, Sparrow Arc Farm, Snappy Lobster Company, and Ward's Berry Farm.      Guests were treated to pumpkin ravioli, buffalo-style brussels sprouts, BBC Steel Rail ale-battered cauliflower, and lobster quesadillas and more.  The favorite cocktail of the evening was the "Fig ‘n Pig" – a bourbon and bacon specialty at the bar.   Each dish highlighted product from favorite local farms and fishermen.
