French Cultural Center's 'A Taste of Bordeaux' Wine Dinner

The French Cultural Center hosted its Seventh Annual Wine Dinner at the Chilton Club on Monday, November 19, raising funds to support the Center's Accent on Success free, after-school language instruction program. The featured vintner was Château Angélus, a Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé A wine from Bordeaux. Guest of honor Coralie de Boüard de Laforest whose family has owned and operated the vineyards for generations, was on hand to present the wines. Among those served were La Fleur de Boüard 2002, La Fleur de Boüard 1998, Château Angélus 2006, Château Angélus 1967, and for a technical tasting before the meal, guests compared a Château Angélus 2003 with a Carillon d’Angélus 2003. The Pièce de résistance wine was the Château Angélus 1967 which was served with the cheese course. (Photos by Roger Farrington)
