On 1/27, the partners of Stoddard's Fine Food & Ale invited family and friends for a sneak-peak into their new Downtown Crossing establishment by hosting a "Mark Your Mark" event. The event was attended by over 400 guests and featured authentic, turn-of-the-century craft cocktails, cask ales, and authentic early American cuisine prepared by Executive Chef Mark Cina. Guests also enjoyed a live, 4-piece jazz band for the duration of the party.

The beautiful CONAIR/RUSK Style Suite at Skylodge Penthouse welcomed all the celebrities this year at the Sundance Film Festival. From 01/21-01/31 celebrities were invited to the suite for their press interviews as they received makeup and hair styling with Celebrity Hair Stylist Naz Kupelian of RUSK and posed for a photo shoot with "The Creative Coalition." On 1/20 Boston Home celebrated the launch of the Best of Boston issue at Oberon, (home of The American Repertory Theater's The Donkey Show). Best of Boston 2010 winners and fellow guests marveled at awe-inspiring performances (and revealing outfits!), and enjoyed Patron cocktails and tasty hors d'oeuvres. A DJ spun nothing but the golden oldies to complete the disco-themed celebration.

Online luxury retailer Gilt Groupe celebrated the launch of Bridie Clark's new novel, The Overnight Socialite, with a stylish party hosted by local social-scene staples Erica Corsano, Joanna Humphrey, Tonya Chen Mezrich and Lisa Pierpont, along with Gilt Groupe founders Alexis Maybank and Alexandra Wilkis Wilson. The event was held on 1/13 at W Hotel Boston, where the city's bold-faced names enjoyed cocktails and a meet-and-greet with the book's author.

On 01/13 Historic New England held its Centennial Gala at the Fairmont Copley Plaza, to kick off its 100th year of operation. Approximately $300,000 was raised from donations, dinner, cocktails and live auctions. All proceeds supported Historic New England's educational programs which serve more than 36,000 students.
