Here’s What You Can Buy in Boston for Under $275,000
Affordable condos abound in Hyde Park, Dorchester, and beyond.
In fact, real estate analytics site NeighborhoodX has done the digging for us, identifying 10 properties asking under $275,000 within city limits. The list dips as low as $129,000 for a two-bedroom condo in Hyde Park and tops out at $264,000 for a one-bedroom in East Boston. Plus, the range of prices per square foot isn’t exactly outrageous—condos start at $211 per square foot and goes up to $489 per square foot.
The cheapest property of all, the $129,000 two-bedroom in Hyde Park, measures up to 598 square feet. It’s inside of a well-maintained brick building and is a short walk from a Stop & Shop. On the other end of the spectrum is 75 Waldemar Avenue #102 in East Boston’s Orient Heights neighborhood. It’s the most expensive property on the list at $264,000 and its listing says it was recently renovated.
However, Hyde Park and Eastie are outliers in the report. Most of the units are concentrated in West Roxbury, Mattapan, and Dorchester.
