Behind the Design of the Newly Opened Trade


Unless you live under a rock, you’re well aware of the recent opening of Trade, Jody Adams’ brand-new foray into the downtown dining scene. And sure, you may have read accounts of the world-inspired cuisine and crispy flatbread pies coming out of the Wood Stone oven–but what you may not know about is the design, which was just as meticulously planned out as the food.

We stopped by the industrial-chic space earlier this week to get an education in aesthetics from co-owners Sean Griffing and Eric Papachristos, who explained the thought process behind each design detail.
